Doug Munroe established Waterfall Farm in 1976. In addition to farming, Doug is a painter and a writer. He also sits on the board of the Florence Thomas School of Art in West Jefferson, NC and has been a tireless volunteer for the Nature Conservancy for over 25 years and the National Committee for the New River. He is an advocate of conservation, a leader among land stewards, and a lover of the great outdoors. He lives on Waterfall Farm with his wife Nancy and dog Pepper.
